Where does the price data come from?

Our fuel prices come from the UK Government Open Data Scheme. This includes data from major retailers like Asda, Tesco, Sainsbury's, BP, Esso, and more. Prices are updated throughout the day.

Why might prices differ from what I see at the pump?

Retailers update their prices at different intervals (typically every 15-30 minutes). There may be a short delay between price changes and our app. Always verify the price at the pump before filling up.

Do I need to create an account?

No! You can use all search and comparison features without an account. Accounts are only needed for price alerts and synced favorites across devices.

Does the app track my location?

Only when you use the "Near Me" feature. We never track your location in the background. You can always search by postcode instead.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Profile > Settings > Delete Account in the app. Alternatively, email us at privacy@fuelsaverapp.co.uk and we'll process your request within 48 hours.

Why is my local station not showing?

We currently show 3,800+ stations from retailers participating in the Open Data Scheme. Some independent stations and certain brands don't publish their data publicly. Coverage will increase as more retailers join.

How do price alerts work?

Set a target price for your fuel type. When any station in your chosen area drops below that price, you'll receive a push notification. Alerts are checked hourly.
